PostDoc Analysis and use of hydro-meteorological data derived from ground and satellite stations
21.02.2021 - National Research Council - Research Institute for Geo-Hydrological Protection, Italy
PostDoc Analysis and use of hydro-meteorological data derived from ground and satellite stations, for the improvement of river flow estimation in the hydrological and hydraulic modeling, application by 5 March 2021:
The post-doc fellow will work in interdisciplinary topic related to hydrology and satellite remote sensing with the aim to advance technology and methods for estimating river discharge from satellite data. The post-doc fellow will use existing and upcoming satellite altimetry and optical sensor data to advance our understanding of the terrestrial water cycle, water resource quantity and availability. The objective is to implement and test new technologies for coupling remote sensing and ground observations in order to generate an combined datasets that capture spatial variability and improve measurements of Earth’s inland waters. The post-doc fellow will work with the IRPI-Hydrology team and will collaborate and support the research projects currently running in an environment characterized by strong mutual collaborative and exchanges.
