ParFlow Summer School 2020: postponed to 2021
ParFlow is a parallel, integrated hydrology model that simulates spatially distributed surface and subsurface flow, as well as land surface processes including evapotranspiration and snow. Postponed due to COVID-19 crisis to 2021!

14th Martin-Schwarzbach-Colloquium +++++++++cancelled+++++++++
The QSGA is pleased to announce its 14th annual colloquium in honour of Martin Schwarzbach. This year, the colloquium focusses on recent advances in human evolution. Dr. Yohannes Haile-Selassie (Curator of Physical Anthropology, The Cleveland Museum of Natural History, US) and Prof. Dr. Katerina Harvati (Senckenberg Center for Human Evolution and Paleoenvironment, Eberhard-Karls-Universität Tübingen, Germany) will present their latest research results.

Blog: Off to the Desert!
Starting from March 1, around 20 students, Phds and senior scientists from the Universities of Aachen, Bonn and Cologne as well as Forschungszentrum Jülich will again be called: Off to the desert! Geoverbund ABC/J is organising this strongly interdisciplinary field trip to the Sultanate of Oman for the fifth time around in order to promote education of young academics and to involve them as early as possible in active research projects. For about three weeks, we will report directly from the south-eastern tip of the Arabian Peninsula on the experiences of our excursionists.
