Engineer hyperspectral cameras/drones

The Helmholtz Institute Freiberg for Resource Technology invites applications as Engineer (m/f) for hyperspectral cameras and drones. The position will be available from 1 August 2017. The employment contract is limited to two years. The regular weekly working time will be 39 hours. The salary is based on the collective agreement TVöD-Bund. The place of work is Freiberg.
Tasks:
- operation of the hyperspectral cameras and the drill-core scanner in field and lab
- data acquisition with the divisions equipment in the field and in the lab as well as support of the scientists and guidance on relevant equipment
- assistant administration of the divisions equipment (e.g., Specim AisaFenix, Trimble GNSS, various drones, Bruker XRF, compact van) and their maintenance
- transfer and administration of field data on the servers with QA/QC
- (Pre-)Processing of raw data and respective documentation
- logistics and supervision of field campaigns.
